Reflections from 2021:
1) I can't wait to be able to do all of these things again to start 21-22. With COVID restrictions for 20-21, I wasn't able to really ever set up our classroom the way I would want to!
2) Even if students are facing front and not in groups, I can still use partner activities. I wish I would have done more "training" on talking to each other about math at the start of 20-21 but was afraid to with COVID things.

Reflections from 2019:
1) Do 100 numbers group work activity late in the first week. Don't wait until week 2.
2) Do more with teams talking and using the numbers on the tables.

Reflections from 2018:
Have back up activities, plans for NO internet. We lost all internet the entire first week of school.

Reflections from 2016: What I'd Change During Weeks 1 & 2
Two things.
1) Here is a blog post explaining the top three things I would change about how I started the 2016 school year. Read here.
2) I presented to a group of secondary math teachers about how the start of school went. Click through this presentation (done in Google Slides) to see what I did and read about the positives and negatives of some of the activities.
